Dear Mother:-

Just a few lines to let you know I am well hoping you are all the same.

We are getting along fine so far and having great weather here. Er. Wood and I are together now.

3204020 Pte. Allan Hamm. You will find my address mixed up through th eltter somewhere it is the way they make us put it now. 85Can. Battn. B.E.F. Co Army Post Off. France.

As we are not allowed to write anything and as I have no news I will have to close write soon and give me all the news. Tell Dad for to write me a letter. You needn't look for a long letter from me now.

You might send me some papers some time when you are writing and don't send any more parcels until I see if I am going to get them that are on the way for me now.
