Dear Mother:-

Thought I had better drop you a few lines today as I haven't had a chance to write for quite awhile as I has been pretty busy in France lately and was just as busy when I left which no doubt I wasn't very sorry to get away from that. Although I was only there for 30 days. I am in a hospital in England now with a shrapnel wound in the left leg just above the knee but don't worry I am allright it is a great deal better here than in France. I was wounded on the 1st Oct.

I suppose you have heard that Vince Duffy was wounded quite awhile ago. We are having great weather here now.

Will you telegraph me $15 as soon as you get this letter it will be too long in coming if you send me a money order.

Well I guess I will have to close hoping you are all well.

Good Bye

Allan
