Dear Mother:-

Just a few lines to let you know that I am well and hoping this letter finds you all the same. Well you will see that I have been moved again but don't expect to be here any longer than a couple of weeks and then I will be sent back to Bramshott again. Then we are sent from there away up to Wales to a demobalization camp and then we are sent home but it will take about six months to get through all that at the rate they are doing it now.

We are having awful wet weather here and if we don't soon get away we will all be web toed, like ducks.

I suppose you think I am going to have a big time on that £10 I wired for but it don't last long when a fellow has to pay for his feed at the rate they charge in this country for instance if you have a fried egg it only costs eleven cents.

That's pretty hard luck for poor Vince having to loose his leg, I wrote to him a couple of times but got any answer, do they hear from him at home.

Well I must close as news is scarce hoping to hear from you soon,

Good Bye

Allan.
