Dear Mother:-

Received two of your welcome letters yesterday dated Jan 2nd and 14th and was glad to hear from you I thought you must have all been dead it was over three weeks since I had any letters from home. I guess I had better answer all you questions. I aint so very thin, I sleep well and could eat a donkey in a fit so how will that do.

We are having nice weather here lately fine and cold.

You needn't be looking for me to be home before spring anyway when it gets good and warm, there. but I wont refuse going before that if I get a chance.

I am getting along farelly good but it will be quite awhile before my leg is healed up. Tell Addie all the news I got is in this letter so there is no use in me writing the same to her.

I must close for now

Write soon.

Good Bye

Allan
