Dear Mother:-

Just a few lines to let you know I am well hoping this letter finds you all the same

Well we are certainly have fine weather here now only its most beastly hot. I suppose you are all done haying by this time. I got a parcel of papers this evening that you sent me but I have had any letters since I think it was July 24th so I dont know where my letters are all going too. I had a letter from Lucy Smallwood today and one from [?] too. I don't know whether I told you Vince Duffy has gone to France and I saw Wilfred about a week ago he was over to Eng. on a furlough

Did Lieut. Palmer get back to Canada yet he came over with us and I think he went back.

Well I guess I will have to close for this time a new is very scarce write Soon

Good Bye

Allan.
