Friday noon - Am sending this with Shirley to school to mail. Billy slept right through last night - but started coughing in the morn. I kept him in bed till noon, with linseed & mustard on. But dressed him, & he's off out now. I put on his woollen undershirt & knitted suit. It is just one of those "throat coughs" - no tears - & quite lively.

Got a gust of mail this A.M. Your letter & cards - & 2 lots salt for the children - letters from your mother - an ad for you from a whiskey firm. The [?] I've got. Receipt for $27.00 Insurance - & Bill of the June 30th Insurance $66.20 & $10.60 Interest = $76.80. I forgot about the Int. I'll have till July 30 to pay it. I have no word of the transfer yet but it will likely be along any day now.

It's still hot & dry but some times a chilliness in the wind (North & West I think).

This is my "clean up day". & I'm giving the carpet a powerful vacuuming - its pretty hard work. I hope you are well.

Bye - Bye & love from us all.

Betty
